Danish organic snack bar producer Rawbite has signed an agreement with Conaxess Trade which will see the Denmark-headquartered distribution specialist work with the brand to extend its travel retail presence.

Rawbite is now sold in 30 countries, including a recent break into Iceland where it has been listed at Keflavik Airport with Duty Free Iceland, adding to an earlier listing achieved at Helsinki Airport.

Elsewhere in Europe, Rawbite products are also available in Copenhagen, Amsterdam Schiphol, Frankfurt and Munich airports and onboard cruise ships.

Rawbite Co-founder Rolf Nolsøe Bau, who is responsible for generating new business, said: “Travel retail is a natural fit for Rawbite. To be in travel retail is a privilege, it allows us to engage travellers all over the world, a responsibility we take very seriously.”
Conaxess Trade Commercial Manager Travel Retail Britt Korsholm said: “Rawbite fits right into the general trend towards healthier alternatives and focus on vegan/gluten-free products.”
Rawbite has also engaged travel retail business development consultants Blueprint to accelerate the growth of its business in the channel.
Blueprint Managing Partner Thomas Kaneko Henningsen said: “Rawbite is the ultimate snack-on-the-go, it is ideal for the health conscious traveller looking for an honest alternative to the food currently sold and served in airports and onboard cruise ships and airlines.”
He added: “It is a privilege to team up with Rawbite, not just because of the extraordinary product offering and the international potential.
“It is particularly the people behind the concept and their values that resonate with us. Rawbite’s culture is unique in many ways, it extends far beyond the product and brand.”
