Retail inMotion to manage new buy-onboard concept for Lufthansa Group

GERMANY. Airline retail and technology specialist Retail inMotion (RiM) has partnered with Lufthansa Group to manage its updated buy-onboard concept and business.

From Spring 2021, a new food & beverage product offer will be available to Economy class passengers on Lufthansa, SWISS, and Austrian Airlines short- and medium-haul flights. Retail inMotion is designing individual product concepts together with the airline, based on their respective brand identities.

The common denominator will be an emphasis on fresh, regional highlights, as well as an assortment of snacks and drinks. The new concept will be introduced consecutively by each airline and replace complimentary snacks.
