Rituals unveils first experiential concept store to mark 20th anniversary

Rituals Cosmetics opened the doors to its first experiential concept store in celebration of its 20th anniversary. The House of Rituals is located in the Spui in central Amsterdam.

NETHERLANDS. Wellbeing company Rituals Cosmetics has opened the doors to the House of Rituals, its first-ever holistic lifestyle concept store.

The House of Rituals is located on the Spui in central Amsterdam. It offers Rituals ‘complete hair, face, hand body and homeware ranges, including several exclusive lines and wellness experiences. The new flagship aims to elevate the Rituals brand and lifestyle experience in the brand’s home city of Amsterdam.

Rituals is unveiling the store in two phases. Last week saw the opening of the first and second floors, which are home to a Rituals-themed restaurant and retail space. The second phase will see the launch of the Rituals mind and body spa.

Once completed, the House of Rituals will encompass four floors, covering over 1500sq m. The House of Rituals represents the synergy between retail excellence, exclusive product collections and lifestyle innovations, bringing the brand’s ‘the Art of Soulful Living’ ethos to life.

“We are proud to be bringing our very first four-floor Rituals experience to the residents and visitors of Amsterdam where it all began 20 years ago,” commented Rituals CEO Raymond Cloosterman. “With this new concept of unifying body, mind and soul we are entering the next phase for the brand and the company. The ground floor is home to the ‘Rouhi’ restaurant. ‘Rouhi’ translates to ‘My Soul’ in Arabic.

The ground-floor retail space takes customers on a multi-sensorial shopping experience. It features plenty of interactive and Instagram-worthy installations for visitors to discover their favourite Rituals products, including The Ritual of Sakura, Ritual of Hammam, and many more.

The ground floor is also home to the ‘Rouhi’ restaurant, which offers everything from teas and light bites to a complete Arabic-Asian inspired dinner menu. Rouhi translates to ‘My Soul’ in Arabic.

The first-level is dedicated solely to showcasing Rituals’ enhanced home range. It offers several exclusive new homeware lines such as the Mansion Collection, Talisman Collection and ten new porcelain scented candle holders from the Signature Collection. It also features a variety of luxury home fragrances and a perfume bar with 25 customisable eau de parfums.

The first floor also offers premium laundry products, travel accessories, home décor, bed linens and bath textiles. Rituals extensive homeware products will also become available on Rituals.com.

The second and third floors — set to open in Summer 2021 — will feature a ‘Body Experience’ floor and a ‘Soul Experience’ floor. The Body Experience floor will be home to a body spa that will offer specialised massages, luxury facials and professional beauty consultations and treatments.

The Soul Experience floor will house an exclusive Mind Spa, which will offer stress-reduction treatments, meditation classes, and relaxation workshops.
