US. San Francisco International Airport has issued requests for proposals (RFP) for speciality retail concessions in Terminal Two.
A total of five leases for seven year terms will be available for the following concepts: electronics/travel gear, local gifts, candy/confections, museum store, sunglasses & cosmetics.
The spaces on offer, located in the T2 departures boarding area D, range from 723sq ft to 1,009sq ft – the locations are detailed in the below diagram.
Interested parties are requested return a completed initial response form by 6 October. An informational conference will take place at the Aviation Museum located in San Francisco International Airport’s International Terminal. Full bid documents can be found here.
The deadline for the submittal of bids is 10 January 2018; the airport expects to award concessions in February next year.
The San Francisco Airport Concession Program aims to evoke the city’s colourful images for tourists and business travellers – the Golden Gate Bridge, restaurants, hotels, retail, the Museum of Modern Art, sail boats on the Bay, the Palace of Fine Arts, wine country, Stanford University, the beautiful natural surroundings and Alcatraz Island.
“SFO is often the first and last impression travellers have of San Francisco. The Airport continually seeks new concessions to maximise goods and services available to passengers and to reflect the unique offerings and flavours of the San Francisco Bay Area region.
“The Airport Commission is committed to the participation of local owners featuring local concepts in its concession opportunities. SFO’s food and beverage programme is largely local, featuring fresh ingredients and enticing restaurateurs. The retail programme provides a thoughtful mix of both local flavour and national and international brands,” stated the request for proposals.
