INTERNATIONAL. Leading airport service provider Plaza Premium Group (PPG) has launched the new digital Plaza Premium Lounge Pass (PPL Pass), a contactless solution that enables travellers to purchase airport lounge access with up to -50% discounts versus standard walk-in rates.
The PPL Pass gives users direct access to over 60 Plaza Premium Lounges worldwide. The pass is valid for 12 months after activation and can be loaded with two, four or six lounge visits for US$75, US$150 and US$198 respectively.
It can be purchased online via the Plaza Premium Lounge website or via the company’s Smart Traveller App, where it can be activated, stored, redeemed and shared with friends and family.
The PPL Pass is fully integrated with the Smart Traveller app, Plaza Premium Group’s global loyalty and membership programme. It currently houses over 1,000 curated travel and lifestyle products within its marketplace.

The app connects all of PPG’s airport hospitality offerings. Members also enjoy exclusive rewards, benefits and service packages such as lounge access bundles and upgrade options.
Until 31 May, members can benefit from an exclusive Early Bird Offer where they can purchase a PPL Pass at an additional -10% discount and with added Arrture points.
After activation, the PPL Pass is automatically added to the ‘My Wallet’ section of the Smart Traveller App. To redeem it, passengers need to present their pass at lounge reception prior to entry.
As reported, PPG recently revealed its “business transformation strategy” which set out ambitious expansion plans based on the evolving needs of the modern-day traveller. PPG aims to grow from around 180 lounges to over 500 by 2024/25 through both Plaza Premium Lounge locations and affiliate lounge networks.
PPG aims to build a bigger, global network via consolidation and alliances with industry players, positioning its services at the 100 busiest airports worldwide.
With airport lounges becoming more and more important in the era of COVID-19 travel, PPG has enhanced the safety and hygiene protocols of all its lounges. The strict new measures fall under in its ‘We Care for Your Wellbeing’ programme and include social distancing, regular sanitation, temperature checks and contactless experiences.
PPG Founder and CEO Song Hoi-see said: “PPG will continue to share the best operational practices and technological know-how within the industry and play an active role in promoting the wellbeing and the revival of global travel.”
