SLOVAK REPUBLIC. Regional governments and municipalities will each acquire minority stakes of 10% in Bratislava and Kosice airports by the end of next year. The government agreed the privatisation plan today (Tuesday). Privatisation of Bratislava and Kosice Airports is expected to start in July this year when the Transport Ministry plans to announce a public tender for a strategic investor.

Finance Minister Ivan Miklos said that, over time, ownership positions of the central government, municipalities and regional government could change. A strategic investor will be able to acquire 66% of the shares, municipalities 10%, regional governments 10% and the state will keep 14%.
