FRANCE. Rémy Cointreau has announced the appointment of Essential Communications PR & Media Consultants.
The specialist public relations consultancy will liaise with the travel retail trade magazines, online news services and sector press on behalf of Rémy Cointreau’s flagship brand Rémy Martin and both their premium champagne houses, Charles Heidsieck and Piper Heidsieck.
Rémy Martin is the leading brand (by value and volume) in the global travel retail Cognac category, a market worth US$595 million in 2002 according to Generation DataBank. Rémy Martin VSOP is the premier Cognac line in duty free worldwide with Rémy Martin XO Special in second place.
Piper Heidsieck and the slightly more exclusive Charles Heidsieck both feature in the top ten Champagne brands in duty free sales worldwide. Indeed, four of their cuvées are included in the dozen most sought-after Champagnes purchased by international travellers.
The group said it will reveal some exciting plans for the Rémy Martin, Charles Heidsieck and Piper Heidsieck product lines in the coming months.
