Images of the Day: Lotte Duty Free’s spotlight on promotions and purchase bundling at Changi Airport

Our regular feature, brought to you in association with Duty Free Global from Ireland, celebrates memorable scenes, moments, launches and campaigns related to the global aviation and travel retail sphere.

SINGAPORE. Our latest selection of images comes from a visit to Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 1, where Lotte Duty Free’s wines & spirits departures store leans heavily on promotions and bundling of purchases.

From four-bottle deals on popular Chinese spirit Kweichow Moutai and -10% off two-bottles of Bénédictine herbal liqueur to e-vouchers pledging savings on future purchases, the retailer is pushing hard to encourage multi-buys and raise transaction values.

Promotional campaigns based on price-offs and multi-purchases are arrayed through the T1 Lotte Duty Free store

The S$60 pricing offer on a range of premium global brands is a striking feature of the store this month. So too are colourful installations for big names such as Johnnie Walker and Hennessy.

Particularly striking is the S$60 pricing promotion carried across a range of premium spirits. The campaign makes a neat connection with the 60th anniversary of Singapore as an independent state, which was celebrated just before our visit in mid-August.

A tasting bar for Hennessy, robot pouring service from Pernod Ricard and colourful Johnnie Walker Ruby display are among other eye-catching stop points in the T1 store.
