Swarovski and Avolta unveil refurbished WonderLux boutique at Zurich Airport

The WonderLux boutique, opened just in time for the festive season, invites travellers to explore Swarovski’s range of gifting options across jewellery and watches to home décor

SWITZERLAND. Swarovski has unveiled its newly refurbished boutique at Zurich Airport. The redesigned space reflects Swarovski’s signature WonderLux retail concept and offers an immersive and elevated customer experience. Its opening was timed to coincide with the peak holiday travel period.

The boutique is dressed an elegant blue, one of Swarovski’s house colours. It showcases an array of crystal product lines, including the popular Millenia and Matrix families, alongside home décor pieces, watches and accessories.

The WonderLux concept, designed by Swarovski Creative Director Giovanna Engelbert, is part of a global roll-out of Swarovski’s new joyful retail universe, which began in 2023. Part of this roll-out has been the opening of immersive flagship stores across key global cities including Shanghai, Zürich, New York, Seoul and Milan.

According to Swarovski, the blue colour scheme was chosen to complement the shimmer of its crystal products

Swarovski’s WonderLux boutiques are inspired by the idea of stepping into a jewellery box brimming with treasures. Each space is decorated in one of five vibrant House colours and features octagon motifs, metallic and fluted glass finishes and sensorial touches such as grosgrain silk and velvet.

Swarovski Head of Global Travel Retail Andreea Marginean commented: “One of my priorities is to bring Swarovski’s unique customer journey to travel retail, and to bring to life the superlative creativity of our brand, the incredible styling opportunities, and the added value of impeccable customer service. Our refurbished store accomplishes this, thanks to the fantastic support of our partner Avolta and its unique location in the beautiful Zurich Airport.”

Swarovski’s new joyful retail universe embraces a bolder, more colourful aesthetic for the 129-year-old Austrian House, reflecting its legacy while introducing a modern sense of extravagance

Swarovski’s refurbished boutique is its first dedicated monobrand collaboration with Avolta at an airport, reflecting the strategic importance of Zürich as a key luxury destination.

“We are delighted to celebrate the opening of Swarovski’s stunning refurbished boutique at Zürich Airport,” added Avolta Global Director Fashion, Luxury, WJA & Sunglasses Manuela Facheris.

“Swarovski is a brand renowned for elegance and craftsmanship, and this boutique perfectly aligns with our strategy to make passengers happier by offering unique and luxurious experiences. Zürich’s importance as a key luxury destination makes this partnership even more special, and we thank the Swarovski team for their invaluable collaboration in bringing this vision to life.” ✈
