Guerlain has unveiled Kiss Kiss Bee Glow, a new lip balm range made with 98% natural-origin ingredients. It was launched on 1 April and is now available in global travel retail.
Following the launch of Guerlain’s 95% natural-origin ingredient Kiss Kiss Shine Bloom collection in 2021, Kiss Kiss Bee Glow takes Guerlain’s commitment to naturalness further, by enriching the formula with honey and more natural ingredients.
The collection revives the natural colour of the lips and can hydrate and regenerate them for up to 24 hours. The lip balms have a soft melting texture that easily glides on the lips.
The collection comprises six flower-inspired sheer shades. These are 809 Lavender Glow, 258 Rose Glow and 775 Poppy Glow, the star shades of the collection. They are joined by 309 Honey Glow, 319 Peach Glow and 409 Fuchsia Glow.
Each shade has been infused with eosin, an active ingredient which responds to the natural pH balance of the lips to boost its natural colour.
The Kiss Kiss Bee Glow Lip Balm is made with beeswax and lavender essential oils. It comes in a honeyed, floral fragrance. Its natural formulation combines three bee ingredients: honey, propolis and beeswax. Honey is known for its healing, smoothing and nourishing properties. Propolis, which works in tandem with hyaluronic acid, has an instant plumping effect, while beeswax helps achieve a smooth butter texture.
Guerlain Creative Director of Makeup Violette Serra said: “Inspired by bees, this tinted balm is phenomenal. Natural, effective and sensorial, it makes no compromise, it has all the qualities of a must-have. The more you wear it, the more your lips seem plumped up, soft and beautiful.
“The formula has everything you need: a real infusion of softness and lip care, with a weightless feel. Its creamy and indulgent texture is totally addictive.”
The line comes in a striking golden lipstick tube designed by French Designer Hervé Van Der Straeten. The lipstick cases have been engraved with Guerlain’s Bee logo.
In addition, Guerlain has extended its Kiss Kiss Shine Bloom Collection with four new shades: 139 Dahlia Kiss, 519 Floral Brick, 749 Love Tulip and 419 Iris Crush.
The Kiss Kiss Bee Glow campaign was photographed by acclaimed Norwegian photographer Sølve Sundsbø. It stars Guerlain Brand Ambassadors Natalia Vodianova, He Cong and Maty Fall. The Guerlain Ambassadors pose amidst striking floral landscape that were inspired by the three hero shades of the line.
House muse Vodianova poses with an armful of tender roses to evoke the pale pink hue of 258 Rose Glow, while Cong wears the vibrant 775 Poppy Glow surrounded by a field of poppies. Fall poses in a field of lavender flowers, reflecting the bold hue of the 809 Lavender Glow shade.
Guerlain Creative Director of Make-up Violette Serra also partnered with Sundsbø to create two striking portraits that reflect the house’s lip artistry. Wearing the 775 Poppy Glow Shade from Kiss Kiss Bee Glow, Cong is photographed wearing graphic black eyeliner and fresh flowers on her face. Fall, who wears the 809 Lavender Glow, is photographed surrounded by artificial flowers. The flowers were created in collaboration with sustainable plastic artist William Amor and were sewn into a net which symbolises a honeycomb.
