INTERNATIONAL. Welcome to The Moodie Davitt eZine, Travel Retail’s LookBook. In this edition we cast a look back at a year that humanity – and our industry – will be glad to see recede in the rear view mirror.
For our 2020 People of the Year selection, we turn the spotlight on the front-line heroes and heroines of aviation and travel retail. They ensured – even as a global pandemic raged – that airlines could fly, that airports could function and that stores and restaurants remained safe, hygienic and professionally run.
With the assistance and input of our partners at airports, travel retailers, brand owners, airport promotion agencies and other service companies, we present a pictorial montage of some of those individuals and teams, who represent their peers across the world and in all channels of the business.
We also highlight outstanding examples of creative, positive thinking and action that enhanced the reputation and advanced the business prospects of the industry even in these most challenging times.
We recall the past 12 months through its defining themes and key words (some new to the industry lexicon). We also reflect on the power of corporate social responsibility in the travel, aviation and travel retail channels amid the pandemic, and bring you our favourite images, videos, blogs and podcasts as well as powerful social & digital media campaigns that caught our eye.
