The Moodie Report PLUS – Hermes Airports shapes a new future for travel retail in Cyprus – 21/11/08

INTERNATIONAL. Welcome to The Moodie Report PLUS. The latest edition of our popular PDF-format feature series, which focuses on major industry developments and store openings, is dedicated to Hermes Airports, and to the opening of the new terminal at Pafos International Airport in Cyprus.

The opening earlier this month not only marks a proud moment for aviation in Cyprus, it’s also a milestone for airport consortium Hermes Airports – this is the first project to be completed under its 25-year build-operate-transfer contract at Pafos and Larnaca airports.

It’s also a milestone for its partners – notably Aer Rianta International-Middle East, which has a stake in Hermes Airports, is a partner in duty free concessionaire CTC-ARI Airports, and which is also part of the Cyprus Airports Food & Beverage Company, a business managed at the airports by SSP.

We report on the Grand Opening, and we tour the new-look commercial facilities at Pafos, where we find a vibrant retail offer that’s well integrated with the adjacent F&B range – and we discover an airport with a strong Sense of Place.

This special edition of The Moodie Report PLUS was sent via e-mail today to our 7,500-plus readership.

We hope you enjoy this edition.
