ITALY. The 2027 edition of The Trinity Forum, the world’s most influential airport commercial revenues and travel retail gathering, has been rescheduled to 17-18 March in Milan, shifting from the previously announced 24-25 February.

Owned by The Moodie Davitt Report and co-organised with Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific & Middle East, ACI Europe and ACI World, the event will be hosted by SEA Milan Airports.
The date adjustment has been made to align with the anticipated dates for the holy month of Ramadan in 2027.
The Moodie Davitt Report Founder & Chairman Martin Moodie said: “This change has been implemented following further industry consultation with particular consideration given to the projected dates for the holy month of Ramadan 2027, expected to begin on the evening of Sunday 7 February and conclude with Eid al-Fitr around Wednesday 10 March.”

SEA Milan Airports Chief Commercial Officer Luigi Battuello commented, “Over the years, the event has established itself as a leading global platform for dialogue among airports, retailers and technology providers on the major trends shaping consumption and digital transformation.
“Following the most recent prestigious editions in Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh City and in Doha, we are proud to announce that in 2027 The Trinity Forum will land in Italy for the first time, in the city of Milan.
“Milan is an international capital of business, design, fashion and innovation – a city naturally suited to welcoming a global community of decision-makers.
“Its airports, Milano Linate and above all Milano Malpensa, represent a strategic hub in the European aviation landscape, marked by a growing centrality in the luxury and high-value travel retail segments.

“The 2027 edition of The Trinity Forum will take place in March, a particularly meaningful moment to present to the entire industry the development path we are pursuing, including the future retail expansion of Malpensa Airport Terminal 1.
“We are confident that, thanks to the collaboration with The Moodie Davitt Report and Airports Council International, and with the contribution of major industry players, Milan will deliver an edition of The Trinity Forum worthy of its history and of the expectations of the global community represented here.
“We therefore welcome this handover with enthusiasm and a strong sense of responsibility, ready to host and welcome The Trinity Forum 2027 in Milan.”

ACI Europe Director General Olivier Jankovec added, “SEA Milan Airports will host the first Trinity Forum to take place in the European region – and they could hardly be a more fitting host, as a world-class airport operator with an outstanding commercial and retail offering.
“We look forward to welcoming airports, brands and retailers to Milan in 2027 to help shape the future of travel retail together.

“With more than 20 years of history under the leadership of The Moodie Davitt Report, The Trinity Forum has established itself as a unique platform for networking and knowledge-sharing across the travel retail ecosystem. We are delighted that the event will now also bring a strong European perspective to this global gathering.”
ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East Director General Stefano Baronci said, “We are thrilled to co-organise The Trinity Forum 2027 in Europe, adding a new dimension to the programme that is already well established as global platform for airport commercial revenues.
“Non-aeronautical revenues are a key contributor to airport revenue streams, and it’s critical that airports, concessioners and brands come together and explore new ideas to achieve economic resilience. We look forward to welcoming you in Milan.”
ACI World Director General Justin Erbacci added, “Non-aeronautical revenues are becoming increasingly essential for airports to remain financially viable as they finance improvements to existing facilities and operations and develop new infrastructure to accommodate expected passenger growth.
“The Trinity Forum provides an important opportunity for key stakeholders to collectively find innovative solutions to increase non-aeronautical revenues and enhance the experiences and offerings available to passengers.”
The prestigious annual event is dedicated to maximising the potential of airport commercial services, enhancing traveller experiences and creating sustainable added value for the aviation and travel retail industries.
The two-day event will bring together senior executives from global airports, travel retailers, brands, technology providers and other key stakeholders for knowledge exchange, networking and collaboration opportunities.
The conference will feature a robust programme addressing critical topics such as innovations in passenger experience, sustainability, digital transformation and commercial growth.
Additional event information will be revealed in the coming weeks, with key announcements also available on the dedicated website.
