IRELAND. Irish hospitality operator The Wright Group has unveiled a traditional Irish pub in Dublin Airport Terminal 2.

Bringing a strong sense of place is Ryan’s Pub, located airside immediately after the duty-free store in the terminal.
The concession is positioned to serve departing passengers with a classic pub proposition spanning draught beers, Irish whiskeys and familiar comfort food.

Food options include breakfast blaas, Ploughman’s lunches and M.J. Wright smoked salmon.
The pub takes its name from a well-known 1970 photograph by Tom Lawlor depicting Mary Ryan hanging out washing beneath an Aer Lingus jumbo jet.

The Ryan family has a long-standing connection to Dublin Airport, with multiple generations having worked there. This underpins the naming and local narrative of the venue.

Dublin Airport Commercial Director Ronan Fitzsimons said, “We were hearing loud and clear from passengers that they wanted a traditional Irish pub in Terminal 2 and Ryan’s Pub is a fantastic addition to our food and drink offering.
“Whether passengers are travelling early or late, Ryan’s offers a warm Irish welcome and a great sense of place as they spend their final minutes in Ireland before heading off.”
The Wright Group CEO Michael Wright commented: “Ryan’s pub celebrates a strong family legacy and the spirit of a true Irish local. We’ve created a warm, authentic and welcoming space at Dublin Airport, and we’re proud to add Ryan’s to our airport portfolio while creating new jobs in the Fingal area.”
The Wright Group also revealed that it will soon open The Clipper Bar & Kitchen in Terminal 1 arrivals, offering an all-day breakfast and bar menu. The location will replace The Lansdowne, with completion scheduled before the end of February.
The new concession is inspired by the historic Clipper aircraft that operated early transatlantic services between New York and Foynes, County Limerick.
