Tumi has launched a new collection, called Latitude, which is said to be the brand’s lightest luggage range yet.
Tumi Latitude comes in a range of sizes, including an International Carry-On, Worldwide Trip Packing Case, Short Trip Packing Case and Extended Trip Packing Case. These styles, offered in black, navy and silver, are available now at selected travel retail stores.
Latitude is a hard-shell collection, made from Tumi’s Self-Reinforced Poly-Propylene (SRPP Ballistic) material, that uses a layer method to provide strength, durability and flexibility.
All Latitude silhouettes include tie down straps, multiple pockets, a hanger bracket and more. Inside the Latitude shells are reinforcement rods to provide extra support and rigidity, as well as to keep the interior lining in place.
All styles also feature integrated low-profile TSA locks, Tumi Tracer, top and side handles reinforced with plastic substructures and a patented X-Brace 45 telescoping handle system. This forms a protective, shock-impact-absorbing structure around the telescoping handle tubes within the case, eliminating damage to the handle system while reducing the overall weight of the case, according to Tumi.
