Fashion brand Reiss is opening a 900sq ft store at London Gatwick Airport this month. It will stock a range of specially curated womenswear, menswear and accessories at tax free prices.
Gatwick said the outlet would continue Reiss’ concept of creating “individual micro-flagship stores that respond to their location”. The store’s design draws inspiration from the natural world, and a “subtle material palette and sleek structure” aim to provide a sense of fluidity and calm, the airport said. The store features white oil-brushed timber, blackened steel pale grey textures, iceberg blue marble and cool summer-white concrete.

Reiss said the opening supported its international expansion plans, and brand Founder and Chairman David Reiss commented that he was “excited to reach new and existing international and local customers”. The brand has an existing portfolio of over 190 sites in 17 countries worldwide.
Gatwick noted that its ‘carry on-board’ policy, which enables passengers to take an airport shopping bag onto their flight in addition to their hand luggage allowance, would enable travellers to shop with confidence.
The airport’s Head of Retail Rachel Bulford said: “We are excited to welcome Reiss to Gatwick’s line up of retail brands this month. Reiss’ design-led products complement our existing retail offer and will continue to meet consumer demand for high quality fashion as part of the airport shopping experience.”
