As reported, the event will be moderated by The Moodie Davitt Report President Dermot Davitt and TFWA Conference Director Michele Miranda.
Weitnauer Group Vice President Middle East & Africa Ibragim Ulbashev remarked: “Africa is an important region for Weitnauer Group due to its rapidly expanding economics, infrastructure development and growing demand for quality goods.
“MEADFA provides an excellent opportunity to widen our network and better understand market needs.”
During the event, Weitnauer Group aims to establish new partnerships, explore regional trends and adapt to Africa’s evolving retail landscape.
The company also plans to contribute to economic growth by creating jobs, supporting local businesses and offering products suited to the region.
In the recent The Moodie Davitt Magazine October 2024 issue (pages 160-161), Weitnauer Group President Eric Laurent reflected on the company’s milestones, its ethos and the strategies driving its success today.
He said: “Throughout Weitnauer Group’s entire history as a family-owned business, we have always challenged ourselves to deliver the best possible business model to serve our partners.

“We have been driven by our pioneering spirit to explore and develop new opportunities, especially in new and complex territories that are far away from our Swiss roots.”
Weitnauer Group’s distribution network spans over 100 countries, with a multi-category portfolio that includes perfume and cosmetics, spirits, tobacco and other luxury goods. The company has a healthy 50/50 split between its domestic and travel retail businesses. ✈
