Wellington Airport brings a fresh taste to airside dining with Corona-themed bar

Distinctive dining concepts continue to shape the airport food & beverage landscape, with Corona bringing its established brand identity to Wellington Airport’s airside offer

NEW ZEALAND/AOTEAROA. Wellington Airport has unveiled a Corona-themed bar operated by entertainment and hospitality company EVT.

The Corona Sunset Lounge and Bar is located beyond domestic security near Gate 14 in the southwest pier, bringing the number of EVT’s food & beverage outlets at the airport to five.

Relaxed interiors and comfortable furnishings create a welcoming setting for travellers to unwind before take-off

Its design incorporates natural light and 270-degree views across the runway and Lyall Bay.

Wellington Airport Commercial General Manager Richard Dalby said, “This is a fantastic new option for travellers to relax and enjoy a cold drink before their flight, with a view that is uniquely Wellington.

“The new Corona bar adds to the range of quality places travellers can eat, drink and shop across the terminal, giving them more choice and another reason to enjoy their time at the airport.”

The bar serves a selection of drinks and snacks, providing passengers with a pre-flight dining option.

EVT Hotels New Zealand & Pacific Country Manager Simon White added, “This stunning new venue joins an exclusive global network, becoming the sixth official Corona Vista Lounge in the world, adding our airport in the capital to an impressive list of destinations, including Mexico and Brazil.

“It’s a great addition to complement the existing line-up of dining options at Wellington Airport.”   ‍
