WH Smith has named Gavin McKechnie as its new International Operations Director. As reported, in April he left his previous role as Abu Dhabi Airports’ Vice President Commercial. There he led network and business plan for the new Midfield Terminal Building.
McKechnie has worked for more than 15 years in the travel sector in various senior positions, including seven years with World Duty Free. Other previous roles have also included Chief Commercial Officer at Delhi International Airport and Head of Retail at Network Rail.
At WH Smith Travel he will oversee the direct operations of its growing business in Europe and the Middle-East. McKechnie will report to International Director Louis de Bourgoing.
