MONACO. Fuelled by its success in the Middle East, Monaco-based jewellery supplier Zeades is now intent on repeating its achievement in Asia Pacific.

The company has achieved new listings with Singapore Airlines, Gulf Air and Etihad Airways, and its contracts with Saudi Arabian Airlines and Virgin Atlantic have been extended, with new lines added.

The Gulf has been a success for the company as a result of a “most positive” Dubai Middle East Exclusive exhibition in December. Zeades’s ‘post-modern’, ‘geometrical’ and ‘colourful’ designs, described as Mediterranean in influence, went down well with Middle Eastern customers.

“This region is always on the lookout for innovative brands,” Zeades commented. “The Middle Eastern customers are willing to experiment with new concepts, such as Zeades’s prominent use of Italian leather, but they always keep a close eye on quality and positioning.”

The Singapore Airlines listing is perceived as an important foothold in the region. Zeades will be exhibiting at the TFWA Asia Pacific exhibition in Singapore for the first time next month. The company can be found at Booth M2.

Zeades is best known for its contemporary jewellery pieces, typically paired with Italian leather.

According to Zeades, products such as the Arno watch with interchangeable leather straps and the Tuiga and Avel pendant with leather remain the inflight best-sellers.

“Some airlines went for the soft pink line, favouring the slim Minelli watch combined with the leather flower chain, or the Santal pendant set with pink shell inlay,” the company said.

Zeades will launch a line of sterling silver jewellery and a complete stainless steel collection by mid-summer. It has also expressed its intention to introduce a ’boutique concept’ which will extend the brand into furniture to cater to its retail partners’ need for strong brand identification.
