Bombay Woodlands and Harilela Hospitality capture key restaurant concessions at Changi Airport Terminal 2 – 26/05/09

SINGAPORE. The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) has awarded two vital food & beverage tenders at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2.

Bombay Woodlands Restaurant won the contract for an Indian vegetarian restaurant concession. The contract starts on 1 August and runs for three years. The unit is located in the airside Departures area.

Bidding under the Bombay Café brand name, the retailer offered 15% of the total monthly gross sales or a Minimum Monthly Guarantee of S$13,800 per month, whichever is higher.

Harilela Hospitality has won the contract for an Asian brand name restaurant in T2. Bidding under the Chutney Mary brand name, the company offered 10% of the total monthly gross sales for sales up to S$65,000 per month; plus 16% of incremental monthly gross sales for sales above S$65,000 per month and up to S$100,000 per month; plus 30% of incremental monthly gross sales for sales above S$100,000 per month; or a Minimum Monthly Guarantee of S$4,500 per month, whichever is higher.

In other Changi food & beverage news, the CAAS has called two further tenders in T1.

The first is for a brand-name Western café concession in the Check-In Hall. The closing date for submissions is 12 June. The three-year contract begins on 8 September.

The second is for an Asian brand-name café concession, also in the T1 Check-In Hall. The closing date is 12 June, with the contract running from 8 September until 7 September 2012.
