Hamad International Airport adds a wellness pause to the passenger journey with Travel Recovery Studio

The verdant surroundings of Orchard set the scene for a guided wellness session as passengers take a break from their journey

QATAR. Hamad International Airport has launched the Travel Recovery Studio at Orchard Concourse C, giving passengers a chance to pause and recharge with complimentary wellness sessions.

The concept began on 6 September and runs to 25 October, with 20-minute sessions combining breathing exercises, gentle stretching and movement on red light therapy recovery mats. The mats emit warm, low-level light to encourage relaxation.

With experienced instructors on hand, the sessions are designed to help passengers release tension, improve physical comfort and arrive at their next flight feeling refreshed.

The Travel Recovery Studio reflects the airport’s focus on passenger comfort and wellbeing throughout the journey.

The studio is open to passengers aged 18 and above, subject to capacity, with 20-minute sessions offered from Sunday to Thursday between 4:30pm and 7:30pm.

The experience is set within the 6,000sq m Orchard, an indoor tropical garden filled with more than 300 trees and 35,000 plants from around the world, offering passengers a quiet place to step away from the busy airport setting.

Orchard has become one of Hamad International Airport’s prominent landmarks since opening in 2022, bringing together nature, art, dining and retail.

Among its attractions are bronze sculptures from the Wildlife Wonderscapes collection by artists Gillie and Marc, as well as hospitality offerings including Qatar Airways’ Al Mourjan Business Lounge – The Garden, the Louis Vuitton Lounge by Yannick Alléno and the Dior Spa.

Orchard features a variety of plants, including orchids, water lilies and lotus flowers, alongside Japanese koi fish recently introduced to the space. Irrigation and climate control systems help maintain suitable conditions for the garden year-round.

More information on session timings and participation is available on the Travel Recovery Studio website.

With initiatives such as the Travel Recovery Studio, Hamad International Airport continues to expand its passenger offerings. Travellers are encouraged to support the airport in the Skytrax World Airport Awards 2027 by voting through the official website. ✈
