The cognacs will be showcased at next month’s IAADFS Duty Free Show |
The House of Rémy Martin is to release the first two expressions of the Cellar Master’s Selection into Americas travel retail this spring. The Cognac collection will be showcased at next month’s IAADFS Duty Free Show of the Americas (stand number: 113).
The range, which will be exclusive to travel retail, celebrates the aromatic diversity of the various ageing cellars at the brand’s Domaine de Merpins in Cognac, each of which has its own characteristics. The various cellars have different layouts and some are underground, meaning the temperatures and humidity levels vary from one to another.
Cellar Master Pierrette Trichet has created Rémy Martin Prime Cellar Selection Cellar N°16, a powerful Cognac with intense vanilla notes, and Rémy Martin Reserve Cellar Selection Cellar N°28, a silky Cognac with rich candied fruit notes.
Both of the new coupes are Fine Champagne Cognacs from the crus of Petite and Grande Champagne, which form the essential identity of all Rémy Martin expressions.
To celebrate the aromatic style of the two cellars, Trichet selected similar eaux-de-vie from other cellars in order to craft the two new Cognacs.

After being launched in Americas travel retail in April, the two Cognacs will be released in European and Asian travel retail doors in 2015.
Several other cellars have already been identified by the Cellar Master and are currently being prepared with a view to enhancing the Cellar Master’s Selection in the future.
Rémy Martin Prime Cellar Selection Cellar N°16 will retail for US$74 (1L) while Rémy Martin Reserve Cellar Selection Cellar N°28 will be priced at US$177 (70cl) and US$253 (1L).
