German luxury brand MCM has opened a duty paid store at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport Terminal 3.
The 75sq m store is the brand’s first in a domestic departure area in China and underlines MCM’s plans for expansion in international travel retail.
The store, designed to emphasise MCM’s German heritage and with a contemporary grey and gold scheme, offers a selection of luggage and small leather goods and opened with the brand’s autumn/winter15 Space Odyssey collection.
MCM opened a pop-up store at Munich Airport earlier this summer and confirmed plans for further openings in Asia, Middle East, America and Europe.
