Shiseido brand NARS is launching its new NARS x Charlotte Gainsbourg collection in travel retail Asia Pacific and travel retail EMEA from May.
François Nars gave Charlotte Gainsbourg full creative control of the range, which resulted in a pared-down selection of 18 products that focus on smouldering eyes, flushed cheeks, natural skin and a hint of colour on the lips.
The collection comprises: Lip Tint; Hydrating Glow Tint; Multiple Tint; Velvet Matte Lip Pencil; Velvet Duo Eyeshadow; Kohliner and a Brush Roll. Highlights of the range include:
Hydrating Glow Tint – a weightless gel-cream which can be built up to provide tailored coverage to give skin a natural, healthy glow and even out skin tone.
Multiple Tint – the iconic NARS product is here reimagined by Charlotte Gainsbourg in a sheer, tinted format to give lips and cheeks a dewy, natural colour.
Kohliner – the limited-edition liner allows customers to recreate Charlotte’s signature smouldering eyes, available in moss green, navy or grey.
Brush Roll – this custom leather pouch contains five brushes, each with its own unique handle: Eye Blending Brush; Concealer Brush; Eyeshadow Brush; Face Highlighting Brush and Face Brush.

Explaining his choice of Charlotte Gainsbourg as collaborator, François Nars commented: “I admire her for building a career with no compromise, no limits, and totally dedicating herself to it. I wanted the collection to be a complete reflection of who she is – an extremely talented and sensitive artist.”
Charlotte Gainsbourg noted: “I was flattered and quite excited when I learned that François wanted to collaborate on a collection. The collection is very true and personal to me.
“It was quite hard taking my thoughts and putting them into products, but I created them based on what I use and love. That’s what I wanted to share with women.”
