MEXICO. Dufry has officially opened its refurbished main duty free store at Mexico City International Airport Terminal 2 in 1,138sq m of space.
The event on 15 December was attended by Dufry Mexico Country General Manager Jose Luis Ramos and President Adviser Rodolfo Velasco.

Members of the local management teams were also present, including Country Finance Director Juan Pablo Rouvier; Country Retail Operations Director Mauricio Bermudez; Country Commercial Director Raydiris Abreu Country Supply Chain Logistics Manager Carlos Torres and Country Human Resources Director Leticia Barrera.
Representing airport company Aeropuerto Internacional de Ciudad de México (AICM) were Director General Vice Admiral Carlos Ignacio Velázquez Tiscareño; Commercial & Services Director Captain Abel Moreno Isidro; Deputy Director of Commercial Services Licenciado Alfonso Joel Lazo Valerio and Deputy Director of Customer Service Licenciada Bertha Elia Mara Zúñiga Gonzalez.
Dufry already has a strong presence in Terminal 2, with six duty free shops and two Hudson convenience stores. The refurbished duty free store offers the core product categories including beauty, liquor, luxury accessories, tobacco and confectionery. Among the new features is an haute parfumerie area which showcases sought after and niche fragrance brands. Others include shop-in-shop boutiques for brands such as Hublot, Montblanc and Carolina Herrera.

A striking Tequileria tasting area has also been installed to showcase the tequila category. Digital in-store communication and strong promotional areas add “an engaging and experiential element for customers and take the duty free shopping experience to the next level”, said the retailer.
