Coty strengthens leadership structure to further advance Curated growth strategy

Beauty powerhouse Coty has unveiled a sweeping leadership reorganisation, integrating key business functions as it accelerates its Coty.Curated growth framework.

The restructuring is designed to bring leadership closer to local markets, accelerate decision-making and sharpen accountability for sell-out market share, the company said in a statement released yesterday (2 July).

Coty.Curated is designed to simplify the company’s portfolio, sharpen its focus on core brands and markets, and deliver savings opportunities that support consumer engagement and profitability.

Key changes include Executive Chairman and interim CEO Markus Strobel assuming direct oversight of Prestige commercial operations and the company’s regional leaders.

The reorganisation will combine Prestige R&D, sustainability and supply chain into a single function under the interim leadership of Chief Supply Chain Officer Graeme Carter, simplifying how the company develops and delivers across its core businesses.

President of Consumer Beauty Gordon von Bretten will continue to lead the division’s integrated operating model.

Coty also announced Prestige Chief Commercial Officer Caroline Andreotti will leave the company at the end of September after nearly two decades of service, including three years in her current role. She has overseen the Prestige commercial strategy, deepened relationships with key customers and partners, and helped strengthen the company’s leadership in prestige beauty.

Chief Scientific and Sustainability Officer Dr Shimei Fan will also exit the company at the end of August after leading Coty’s R&D organisation and sustainability agenda.

During her tenure, she played a key role in delivering product innovations while advancing the company’s ESG performance, including securing multiple ESG ratings upgrades and the first SBTi approval of Coty’s science-based carbon reduction targets.

Coty Executive Chairman and interim CEO Markus Strobel said, “Coty.Curated is about clarity and focus, and a simpler operating model helps us deliver on that.

“It positions us to keep building behind our core brands and to support our teams as the business moves forward. I want to thank Caroline and Shimei for their leadership and their many years of contribution to Coty, and wish them every success for their future endeavours.”

Leadership refresh in People and Purpose

Following an impactful tenure at Coty, Chief People and Purpose Officer Priya Srinivasan (left) hands over leadership of the people function to seasoned HR executive Séverine Charbon

Chief People and Purpose Officer Priya Srinivasan is also set to depart the company in August for personal reasons. She has been instrumental in strengthening the company’s global people function and advancing its talent agenda, with a particular focus on leadership development and engagement.

She will be succeeded by Séverine Charbon, effective 1 September. Formerly Chief Talent Officer International at Publicis Groupe, Charbon joins Coty with more than 25 years’ international experience in talent strategy and organisational transformation.

Strobel added: “Priya has been a thoughtful and trusted leader, and a real champion of our people and culture. She has strengthened how we develop talent, deepened employee engagement, and helped make Coty a place where people can do their best work.

“We are grateful for everything she has given to Coty and wish her the very best in the future. We now look forward to Séverine joining Coty at this important time and continuing to build on the strong foundations in place.”
