Five F&B venues open at Houston’s William P. Hobby Airport

USA. Houston Airports has announced the opening of five food & beverage venues at William P. Hobby Airport. They are part of the first phase of openings from travel restaurateurs LaTrelle’s Management and Areas, which are each opening ten venues in the terminal after contract wins last year.

LaTrelle’s Management (see contract story here) has unveiled taco restaurant Velvet Taco, ice cream parlour Fat Cat Creamery (a local Houston favourite) and a store from international coffee and doughnut brand Dunkin’ Donuts.

LaTrelle’s Management has opened Velvet Taco (above) and two adjacent venues, Fat Cat Creamery and Dunkin’ Donuts (below), at William P.Hobby Airport

Areas (see contract story here) has unveiled two venues called The Spot – one is a restaurant and bar and the other, located centrally in the terminal, a dedicated bar venue. The concepts are based on a well-known downtown Houston F&B venue of the same name.

The remaining 15 openings from the two concessionaires will launch in three further phases, with the last part coming in spring 2025.

Areas has created two venues based on downtown Houston F&B venue The Spot. They are a full-service restaurant and bar (above) and a separate bar (below).

Upcoming venues include The Rustic, Starbucks, Throughgood Coffee, Chick-fil-A, Pei Wei, Starbucks, Killen’s Barbeque, Common Bond Café, Yard House, SpindleTap Brewery, Pink’s Pizza, Wendy’s, Jersey Mike’s, Dish Society and Landry’s Seafood House.

Houston Airports Chief Commercial Development Officer Francisco Cuellar said: “Houston Airports has always been committed to providing an exceptional and world-class experience for our guests, and this initiative at Hobby Airport exemplifies our dedication to innovation and customer satisfaction.
