USA. WHSmith North America, incorporating Marshall Retail Group and InMotion, has celebrated the opening of its stores at Nashville International Airport (BNA).

The outlets were inaugurated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by WHSmith North America Chief Development Officer Roddy McOwan; VP of Airports Mary Beth Hawthorne; and Regional Manager Jamie Golladay.

The new stores include Whiskey Trailhead, Natalie’s Candy Jar, Musicians Hall of Fame & Museum and Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum.
The opening ceremony also included a celebration for Whiskey Trailhead’s recent win at AXN’s 2024 Airport Experience Awards, where it was named Best Local-Inspired Store. This prestigious honour recognises the store’s creative ability to encapsulate Tennessee’s famous Whiskey Trail, a popular tour of more than 30 whiskey distilleries across the state.
As reported, Whiskey Trailhead features a wide variety of whiskey and merchandise from various stops along the trail, with tastings available for customers.

Joining the celebration were BNA President and CEO Douglas Kreulen; BNA SVP and Chief Revenue Officer Eric Johnson; Fraport Tennessee Vice President Matt Jennings; and Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum VP of Revenue Mark De Lelys. WHSmith North America’s ACDBE partners also attended, including NaSah’s Nurture Nature Founder and CEO Angela Mitchell and MEEL Founder Marti Emch.

Mark De Lelys said: “As leading destinations for visitors to Nashville, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and Hatch Show Print are grateful for the partnership with WHSmith. Our retail location at the Nashville International Airport provides the opportunity to reinforce our brand to travellers and expand the reach of our nonprofit mission as a museum.”
WHSmith North America currently operates seven locations at Nashville International Airport. ✈
