CHINA. Viña Don Melchor, a subsidiary of Concha y Toro Group, has partnered China Duty Free Group (CDFG) to exclusively launch DM/01 Vintage 2022, the first release in Don Melchor’s limited-edition ‘The Parcels’ series.
Originating from Parcel No. 1 of the Don Melchor Vineyard in Chile’s Puente Alto, DM/01 Vintage 2022 release is limited to 6,000 bottles worldwide, with 600 available in China exclusively through CDFG.
The Parcels was born from a vision to create the Puente Alto terroir’s most distinctive expressions, with each Cabernet Sauvignon parcel harvested and vinified independently to achieve the highest quality from each area.
DM/01 Vintage 2022 is said to be a genuine expression of the energy, finesse and singular character found with Parcel No. 1, the oldest in the Don Melchor Vineyard.
The China launch was marked with a celebratory ceremony at Beijing’s Hanlin Academy on 5 September. Guests included Chile’s Ambassador to China Pablo Arriarán Ahumada, China Duty Free Group Deputy General Manager Sun Fang, Viña Don Melchor CEO and Technical Director Enrique Tirado, and Viña Concha y Toro Asia Corporate Director José Gonzalez.
Speaking at the event, Ahumada commented: “This event is not only a launch of an exceptional wine, but also a celebration of the history, culture and friendship between Chile and China. Every glass of Chilean wine is a bridge connecting the cultures of our two countries.”
The launch marks a continuation of the partnership between CDFG and Concha y Toro to introduce high-quality Chilean wines to the Chinese travel retail market.

Composed of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon and 12% Cabernet Franc, DM/01 Vintage 2022 was aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, 64% new and 36% second use. ✈
