NORTH AMERICA. SSP Group has named George Mboya (right) as Chief Executive Officer at SSP America, effective immediately.
Mboya joined the leading travel food services company in 2017, and has since played a key role in the company’s financial and strategic evolution – leading the business through over +300% revenue growth via organic expansion, strategic acquisitions and new business wins.
He was later promoted to CFO, and earlier this year took over as interim CEO (at the time replacing the long-serving, much-respected Pat Murray in that role).
During Mboya’s tenure to date, said a group statement, “he has demonstrated outstanding leadership and delivered meaningful progress across the business”.

SSP America is a core growth driver within SSP’s global portfolio, contributing nearly a quarter of total group revenues.
