INDIA. Bangalore International Airport Limited has secured ACI’s Level 3 Accessibility Enhancement Accreditation for Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru.

In a social media post, the airport company said: “It’s an acknowledgement that reflects our unwavering commitment to creating a travel experience for our passengers that is barrier-free, inclusive and respectful for every passenger.

“For us, accessibility isn’t just a feature, it’s a promise. We strive to ensure that our guests, especially those with disabilities or reduced mobility, can navigate every journey with ease and dignity.

“Strategy and governance, digital accessibility through website enhancements, infrastructure improvements and community collaboration, have helped us earn this accreditation.”

The company noted that this achievement reflects passengers’ trust, the dedication of its teams and ACI’s guidance in building an airport that serves all travellers.

Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru was also honoured by ACI World with the Best Innovation in Airport Passenger-Related Processes award at the 2025 Technology Innovation Awards last week (26 November). It was recognised for its Biometric-Enabled Self Baggage Drop system.
