UK. Manchester Airport is preparing to further bolster its retail and dining offer in the redeveloped Terminal 2 Departures Lounge.
Among the new venues, the Great Northern Market food hall – currently in the final fit-out phase – will feature a variety of street food-style outlets.
The 472-seat venue will comprise seven street food kitchens and a bar, with menus spanning fried chicken, authentic Mexican cuisine, Neapolitan pizza and the viral ‘Gooey’ bakes.

Designed to create a strong sense of place, the dining space has been developed in collaboration with local artists and incorporates an advanced QR-code ordering system, enabling a single transaction with food and drink delivered directly to the table.
Manchester-based speciality coffee brand Grindsmith is also nearing completion, with staff on-site for training ahead of opening.
Final fit-out is underway at Amber Alley, with the new extension offering views over the Boutique Mall. The Seven Bro7hers bar serves craft beers, cask ales and low- or no-alcohol options, alongside a food menu designed to complement the drinks, including classic pub dishes, sharing plates and healthier choices.
The upcoming dining venues build on December openings, which included Costa, Greggs and WHSmith, further expanding passenger options alongside KFC, Wrapchic, Starbucks, Pret A Manger and M&S Simply Food.
