SSP and TFS debut Travel Club Lounge at Bangkok Don Mueang International Airport

THAILAND. The partnership between SSP Group and Travel Food Services (TFS) has opened Travel Club Lounge at Don Mueang International Airport (DMK), marking the brand’s first location in Thailand. It represents SSP’s first lounge venture in Thailand.

Located at Levels 2 and 3, International Airside, Terminal 1, the 477sq m lounge features 95 seats and operates daily from 5am to 1am.

Travel Club Lounge promises to “redefine airport hospitality at Don Mueang International Airport”, said the partners. “The contemporary decor blends elegance with warmth, creating a calm and welcoming experience within the bustling airport environment. A sophisticated palette of blues, natural wood tones and soft lighting sets the tone, while clean lines and modern fixtures create a sleek, professional aesthetic.”

The partners pledge “premium facilities, distinctive design and a curated dining experience” at Travel Club Lounge

Elaborating on the design, SSP and TFS added that natural materials and textured panels “add depth and warmth, complemented by artistic accents and world-map motifs that celebrate global travel”. The lounge offers spacious seating zones with lounge chairs and sofas, private work pods, quiet booths and dining areas.

Facilities include a buffet area, bar, work zone, charging stations, Flight Information Display Screens, high-speed Wi-Fi, washrooms and shower rooms – making it the only commercial lounge at the airport to offer shower facilities.

Guests can enjoy a selection of Asian and international cuisines, with complimentary coffee, tea, soft drinks, draught beer and house wine. Vegetarian options are also available.

A live cooking station will serve freshly prepared Hainanese chicken rice and hot soup, while Thai favourites including pad thai, tom yum and traditional Thai desserts showcase the rich culinary heritage of Thailand.

Thai cuisine is prominent on the menu offer alongside popular regional and global favourites, with the lounge also housing generous space to relax or work

Travel Food Services Managing Director and CEO Varun Kapur said, “We are delighted to bring the Travel Club Lounge (TCL) brand to Thailand for the first time in collaboration with SSP Thailand. Our partnership with SSP combines their global scale and expertise in travel hospitality with the operational capabilities and best practices that TFS has developed across its lounge network. Together, we look forward to delivering a high-quality passenger experience, leveraging the strengths of the TCL brand as travellers pass through Don Mueang International Airport.”

SSP Asia Pacific CEO Jonathan Robinson added, “With its premium facilities, distinctive design and curated dining experience, Travel Club Lounge is set to become a preferred destination for international travellers passing through Don Mueang International Airport.

“Its launch builds on the success of our established business in the region. The opening of Travel Club Lounge at Don Mueang, which will draw on SSP’s food service expertise and the considerable experience of TFS in lounge development, marks an exciting milestone for SSP as our first lounge venture in Thailand.

“As passenger expectations continue to evolve, we see strong opportunity in the premium hospitality segment. This lounge reflects our focus on creating high-quality, commercially strong concepts that resonate with today’s international traveller while strengthening our partnership with TFS in the region.”
