OMAN. Strange Nature Gin from New Zealand has secured a key listing at Muscat Duty Free through an exclusive distribution partnership with Vintage International, boosting the brand’s presence in the Middle East and reinforcing an ambitious global expansion strategy.
The listing marks Strange Nature’s second in the region, advancing its global growth momentum following a strong debut with Qatar Duty Free.

Strange Nature, a loyal brand partner of The Moodie Davitt Report (including as sponsor of our popular Strange Predictions competition), said Muscat Duty Free is an important platform for increasing the brand’s visibility among international travellers and securing a strong presence in Oman.
The retailer’s premium environment and diverse passenger mix align well with Strange Nature’s positioning as a distinctive gin offering, the brand added.
Muscat Duty Free Commercial Manager Anup Sunder said: “Muscat Duty Free continues to be a pivotal platform for introducing our loyal customers to premium, world-class brands. In this regard, Strange Nature Gin has shown excellent potential.
“Its distinctive New Zealand origin, smooth and refreshing flavour profile, and premium packaging create a unique narrative that sets it apart from mainstream offerings.
“Overall, this is a promising addition with strong consumer appeal. Kudos to Vintage International FZCO for consistently curating high-quality brands that elevate our portfolio and provide our customers with an exceptional retail experience.
“I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to my team and the Muscat Duty Free leadership team CCO Faiz Arshad Khan, COO Aisha Al Habsi, and CEO Renat Rozpravka, for providing the vision and support that allows us to explore new opportunities and consistently widen our horizons.”

Vintage International will support the roll-out by leveraging its regional expertise and established travel retail network, while boosting brand visibility and accessibility in one of the world’s most influential travel retail corridors.
Vintage International Managing Director Salim Aziz Farhat said: “We are pleased to bring Strange Nature Gin to Muscat Duty Free, marking another milestone in our partnership across the Middle East.

“Crafted through an innovative distilling technique and recognised with internationally acclaimed awards, Strange Nature Gin continues to stand out as a distinctive choice for discerning travellers.
“We look forward to building on this momentum as we continue to grow the brand’s presence across our travel retail network.”
The Muscat Duty Free listing adds to Strange Nature’s expanding international footprint, which spans the Middle East, Asia, Oceania and the US from October. The brand is now available in over 33 key cruise and airport locations across 12 countries.

Strange Nature Owner and General Manager Rhys Julian commented: “We are thrilled to add Muscat Duty Free to our global footprint.
“The type of consumer frequenting this duty free location is well suited to our brand – premium-led and looking for something with a story, a giftable bottle, or a distinctive alternative to the usual big-name duty-free brands.”
Strange Nature views these placements as part of a focused strategy on premium international retail environments, supported by distributor partnerships and targeted expansion across global travel retail.
At the same time, the brand continues to build momentum in cocktail bars and domestic retail, creating a dual growth strategy that engages curious consumers across channels. ✈
