BAT Global Travel Retail (BAT GTR) has added three new city-inspired editions to its travel retail-exclusive (TREX) VELO Traveller’s Collection, drawing inspiration from Mexico, Spain and Sweden.
The release follows the collection’s launch earlier this year, extending VELO’s offer with new flavour profiles and destination-led designs.

Available at selected global travel retail locations, the range is designed to bring a sense of discovery to the journey through flavour innovation and designs.
Each edition incorporates location-specific cultural elements to create a collectable product that serves as a memorable travel keepsake.
The summer release includes three distinctive expressions:
- Mexico – Tropical Ice: inspired by dahlia floral motifs and the energy of Mexico’s culture
- Spain – Tropical Ice: reflecting Spain’s bold colours, cultural traditions and distinctive character
- Sweden – Peppermint Storm: capturing Swedish summer traditions through floral elements, dance and shared celebrations

The new additions strengthen VELO’s presence in travel retail with its latest designs and premium presentation, expanding the initial collection, which featured Japan, UAE, the UK and Qatar.
The roll-out comes against a backdrop of strong growth in nicotine pouches, with BAT’s first-half 2026 results showing +18% year-on-year revenue growth and a +65.9% increase in global nicotine pouch revenue at constant exchange rates.

Reinforcing its position within the category, the company also reported a 39.2% volume share in nicotine pouches across its top markets, including travel retail, while Smokeless Products represented 19.8% of group revenue.
The growth also highlights the potential of nicotine pouches in the channel, where VELO is expanding its offer around distinctive, convenient and smokeless formats for adult consumers.
BAT Cluster General Manager, Global Travel Retail and China Andy Hrstic said, “The VELO Traveller’s Collection was created to celebrate the distinctive character of global travel retail – a channel shaped by movement, discovery and the individuality of each destination.
“With Mexico, Spain and Sweden, we are extending that idea into the summer travel season, bringing adult consumers products that combine VELO’s nicotine pouch innovation with design that reflects a sense of place.
“As the category continues to grow in travel retail, VELO remains focused on shaping it through innovation, science and premium brand experiences.
“These new editions underline our commitment to offering adult consumers potentially reduced risk alternatives that are contemporary, distinctive and relevant to the way people travel today.” ✈
