Our regular feature, brought to you in association with Duty Free Global from Ireland, celebrates memorable scenes, moments, launches and campaigns related to the global aviation and travel retail sphere.
FRANCE. Today’s images are courtesy of Tax Free World Association’s (TFWA) always compelling Instagram feed, capturing two inspirational CSR initiatives being unveiled at this month’s TFWA World Exhibition (27 September-1 October).
The first post explains how TFWA is lending fantastic support to the industry-wide #KickCancerThon campaign during the show by inviting attendees to cycle on stationary bikes installed on the parvis outside the Palais des Festivals.
#KickCancerThon is the brainchild of the late Sinead Moodie, formerly The Moodie Davitt Report’s Chief Operating Officer.
As revealed in her August 2025 Blog, Sinead was diagnosed in July 2025 with Stage 4 NUT Carcinoma Lung Cancer, a rare, ultra-aggressive variant of the disease. She subsequently underwent treatment at The Royal Marsden Hospital in London, before sadly passing on 1 February, the very day #KickCancerThon officially kicked off. The campaign continues in her honour.
TFWA has generously pledged to donate €10 to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity for every kilometre cycled.
The TFWA initiative transforms delegates’ participation into direct financial support for cancer research, with every kilometre contributing to the overall fundraising effort.
Alongside the cycling challenge, TFWA has confirmed that ‘Yes We Cannes!’ Handisport will return for its fourth edition this year.
Organised by TFWA and Stade Toulousain Handisport in partnership with m1nd-set, the initiative aims to promote inclusion, accessibility and awareness through adaptive sport while raising funds to support Handisport programmes.
It will take place on Sunday 27 September from 10.30am to 12.30pm at the Allées de la Liberté, adjacent to Cannes City Hall.
We hope many Cannes attendeees will support both outstanding initiatives, explained with great panache and passion in our images below. ✈
