IRELAND. Today’s images come from Shannon Airport, where television presenter Kathryn Thomas returned this week to film a new travel series highlighting the Irish gateway’s route network and passenger stories.
‘The Best Place to Fly From with Kathryn Thomas’ launches today (28 August) across the airport’s social media channels.
Thomas, also Shannon Airport Ambassador, spent the day meeting passengers, with filming taking place across a number of locations around the airport.
The bite-sized series aims to showcase the choice available across Shannon Airport’s 40 routes while capturing some of the stories behind the journeys.
Thomas said, “As someone who loves hearing people’s stories, there’s nowhere better to be than an airport.
“Spending the day at Shannon Airport brought me right back to my travel show days, talking about my favourite subject, travel and meeting some wonderful people heading off and arriving home from holidays.
“We had great fun filming ‘The Best Place to Fly From’, and I hope the series inspires people to discover the fantastic range of destinations available from Shannon Airport.” ✈
