Aspire and American Express extend Canadian partnership with Calgary Airport lounge

CANADA. Aspire Pre-Flight Hospitality, the airport hospitality division of Swissport, has extended its American Express partnership with the opening of a co-branded lounge at Calgary International Airport.

The new facility is the partners’ second co-branded lounge in Canada and offers eligible American Express Cardmembers priority access, alongside dedicated activations and experiences.

A warm welcome: A central fireplace anchors the lounge, surrounded by sweeping green seating and timber finishes

Located in Concourse A near Gate A21, the lounge features 109 seats catering to individual travellers and groups, with high-speed wifi and personal charging points. It is open daily from 5am to 10pm.

Aspire worked with Canadian architecture and design firm Menard Dworkind, led by David Dworkind, to create a strong sense of place. The design draws on a Canadian après-ski aesthetic, combining nature-inspired colour palettes with wood panelling.

Local flavour

The food & beverage offer places an emphasis on Calgary partners. Aspire has teamed up with local restaurant Charcut, founded by chefs Connie DeSousa and John Jackson, to develop the lounge’s culinary proposition.

Guests can choose from a curated selection of small plates with table service, complemented by grab-and-go options for time-pressed travellers.

For the drinks offer, Aspire has partnered with cocktail and wine bar Missy’s, recognised among Canada’s 100 Best Bars, achieving a top ten position in the rankings compiled by Canada’s 100 Best.
