OTG acquires OHM Concession Group in major North American airport hospitality deal

USA. Airport hospitality company OTG has acquired OHM Concession Group, significantly extending its food & beverage and retail footprint across the USA. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The transaction brings together two well-known North American airport concessionaires and expands OTG’s geographic reach and portfolio of local, national and chef-led concepts.

OHM, founded in 1998 and headquartered in St. Louis, has built a broad US airport concessions business spanning food & beverage and retail.

Its current locations page lists operations at St. Louis Lambert, Kansas City, Salt Lake City, Indianapolis, Albany, Boston Logan, Baltimore/Washington Thurgood Marshall, Nashville, Pittsburgh, Pensacola, Washington Dulles and Orlando international airports.

The companies said they intend to leverage their combined operational expertise, technology platforms and resources across food & beverage and retail.

OTG Chief Executive Officer Matt King said: “Bringing OTG and OHM together marks a pivotal moment for our industry. Both organisations share a deep commitment to quality, innovation and guest experience.

“By combining our capabilities, talent and vision, we are uniquely positioned to redefine what airport hospitality can be.”

OHM President Milan Patel will remain with the combined organisation as President of OHM Concession Group. His remit will include growth strategy, airport partnerships and new business opportunities.

Patel said: “This acquisition represents an exciting next chapter. OTG and OHM each bring distinct strengths and a shared passion for delivering exceptional experiences.

“Together, we will expand our reach, accelerate innovation and create new value for our partners and guests.”

The companies said OHM’s identity and brand equity will be retained while the enlarged organisation draws on shared resources, technology platforms and operating practices.

OHM traces its airport concessions history to 1998 and the opening of a Great American Bagel location at St. Louis Lambert International Airport. It has since developed a substantial multi-airport portfolio of quick-service, fast-casual and full-service concepts.

The company’s expansion has included securing the full-terminal food & beverage concessions programme at Pensacola International Airport and contracts at Washington Dulles and Orlando international airports.

More recently, OHM has established a sizeable presence at the new Kansas City International Airport terminal and expanded its portfolio at Salt Lake City International Airport. ‍
