INDIA. Adani Airports Holding has posted a +55% year-on-year leap in non-aeronautical revenues to Rs43.7 billion (US$460 million) for the six months ended 30 September.
The growth was driven by strong performances in food & beverage, duty free, lounges, ground handling and lease rental, as well as benefiting from the impact of Navi Mumbai International Airport’s opening last December and the subsequent launch of international flights in July.
The key figure of non-aeronautical income per passenger reached Rs961 (US$10.11), a sharp rise of +56% year-on-year.

The company’s eight airports served 45.5 million passengers in the period, marginally down on the 46 million in the same period a year ago.
Adani Airports Holding CEO Arun Bansal said on LinkedIn, “Despite the market facing significant head winds with high fuel prices and disruptions in flights due to ongoing geopolitical conflict, I am proud of ‘Team Adani’ to report strong numbers.
“Q2 saw 21.3 million passengers, +20% year-on-year growth in revenue and +54% growth in EBITDA — a strong reflection of our collective efforts and growing momentum.” ✈
