INDIA. Today’s images, shared by Adani Airport Holdings, highlight a stunning celebration of design and architecture, as the Prix Versailles 2026 World’s Most Beautiful Airports list recognises both Navi Mumbai International and Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (Guwahati) airports.
The recognition highlights excellence in design, sustainability and passenger-centric planning across airport environments.

Prix Versailles recognises as ‘Laureates’ new airports and terminals that integrate world-class architectural identity with evolving airport design approaches.
Navi Mumbai International Airport Terminal 1 earned recognition for its lotus-inspired architecture and futuristic design language, integrating technology, art and functionality to reflect India’s ambitions as a modern global economy.

Located at the intersection of South and Southeast Asia, Guwahati Airport was awarded for its Terminal 2 design, inspired by the ‘Bamboo Orchid’ and shaped by a biophilic approach that reflects Northeast India’s biodiversity.

An Adani Airport Holdings spokesperson said, “We are honoured to see our airports recognised on a global platform and remain committed to delivering world-class experiences that position India among the leading aviation markets of the world.
“At Adani Airports, we see airports as important connectors of people and regions. The recognition of both NMIA and Guwahati Airport by Prix Versailles validates our focus on developing infrastructures which are at par with the best in architectural excellence with functionality, sustainability and operational efficiency.”

Beyond the annual list, the Prix Versailles awards also select three airports and/or terminals each year for World Titles (Interior or Exterior), awarded at year-end, as part of its focus on intelligent sustainability connecting culture and environment. ✈
