GERMANY. Beauty store NeoLumo and Mövenpick Marché’s Sportsbar have claimed the top prizes at Düsseldorf Airport’s DUS Excellence Awards 2026, with €18,000 (US$20,100) awarded directly to six winning teams.
The awards recognise performance across retail, food & beverage and services, based on an independent mystery shopping programme.
Assessments covered staff friendliness, advice, service, product quality and overall impression.
NeoLumo won Gold in Retail & Services, with testers highlighting its beauty and skincare advice, attentive staff, and store atmosphere.

The business has grown from a pop-up to two airport locations, in the public Shopping Mall and at Gate C.
Setur-operated Victoria’s Secret at Gate C took Silver for its personalised advice and customer service.
Marc O’Polo in the Shopping Mall received Bronze, with testers praising its courteous, unobtrusive service. The fashion store, which has traded at the airport for 20 years, was recently refurbished.

In food & beverage, Sportsbar at Gate C secured Gold. Operated by Mövenpick Marché for more than 15 years, the venue scored strongly for its atmosphere and attentive service.
Dunkin’ in the Shopping Mall won Silver, with product recommendations and staff knowledge singled out by assessors.
Eat Tokyo, also in the Shopping Mall, took Bronze for fresh, quickly prepared food and friendly service.
Each Gold-winning team received €5,000, with €3,000 awarded to each Silver recipient and €1,000 to each Bronze winner. Employees can decide how to use the funds.
Assessed outlets achieved an average score of 86 out of 100. First impressions averaged 96, while food quality recorded the highest score at 97.
