USA. Air France has opened its debut lounge at Chicago O’Hare International Airport. The airline bills the space as offering “a moment of French-style tranquillity and refinement before your flight”.
Located in Terminal 5 and operated with Global Lounge Network, the 470sq m facility seats 105 guests.

Designed by Air France teams with SGK Brandimage, the lounge combines natural light, runway views and décor reflecting the carrier’s identity.
The airline’s winged seahorse emblem and signature colours – blue, white and red – feature throughout the space, alongside a variety of comfortable furniture options.

At the heart of the lounge is a dining area seating around 40 guests. It serves a rotating menu of French-inspired dishes, such as beef bourguignon, country-style chicken and chocolate mousse with caramel cream. Vegetarian options are available.

Air France said it is “creating a tasty menu with a more sustainable approach”, using local, seasonal produce and minimising food waste through sorting and recycling. Water fountains are provided to reduce single-use plastic.

A Parisian-style bar offers Champagne, French wines and spirits, and will be staffed by a bartender or self-service.
The lounge includes a work area, private phone booth, free wifi and multiple power outlets and USB ports. Guests can also access French and international digital press via the Air France Press app.

The lounge welcomes Air France Business and Flying Blue Elite Plus customers, as well as eligible KLM travellers. Eligibility kiosks at the entrance streamline access for passengers.
This winter, Air France will operate up to seven weekly flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Chicago O’Hare airports. ✈
