USA. HMSHost and ACDBE partner Diversified Concessions Group have partnered with Pacers Sports & Entertainment to open the Indiana Pacers Courtside Club restaurant at Indianapolis International Airport.
Indiana Pacers is the National Basketball Association (NBA) team of Indianapolis. The restaurant features a basketball and Pacers-themed menu, plus club merchandise for sale.
Based landside in Indianapolis Airport’s Civic Plaza, the Indiana Pacers Courtside Club’s food offer includes a breakfast menu and classic American bites such as the Boomer Burger, named after the Pacers’ mascot.
Fans can also enjoy a pop-a-shot basketball game, while surrounded by historic memorabilia of the Indiana Pacers, Indiana Fever (the Indiana women’s NBA team) and the Fort Wayne Mad Ants (also an NBA side, based at Fort Wayne, Indiana).
Officials from the Indianapolis Airport Authority (IAA), Pacers Sports & Entertainment, HMSHost and Diversified Concessions Group this week staged a ceremony to open the new F&B venue.
Following welcoming remarks from IAA Board President Barbara Glass, IAA Executive Director Mario Rodriguez said: “The new Pacers Courtside Club gives all who visit IND a new location to experience that Pacers spirit and hometown team excitement, and another option where they can gather for good food, friends and sports entertainment in Indy.
“We see it as a slam dunk addition to the Indianapolis food and beverage scene.”
Pacers Sports & Entertainment Vice President for Communications Quinn Buckner said: “Basketball is a global game and we are Indiana’s team, so we are proud to share the Pacers experience with travellers from around the world at North America’s very best airport.”
HMSHost Vice President of Business Development Bryan Loden said: “It’s exciting to represent Indianapolis’ NBA team at a major gateway to the city. Whether arriving or departing, we are engaging the travelling public with food and entertainment unique to Indy.
“HMSHost is honoured to work alongside the airport, Pacers Sports & Entertainment, and our partner Diversified Concessions to bring a piece of Indiana sports culture to travellers at IND.”
