CAVU reveals top-tier Executive by Escape Lounges concept in Manchester Airport Terminal 2

UK. CAVU has opened its new premium lounge concept, The Executive by Escape Lounges, in Manchester Airport Terminal 2, marking the introduction of a new top-tier lounge offer as part of the airport’s ongoing terminal transformation programme.

Open to all departing passengers, the facility represents the first CAVU Executive-tier location and sits alongside the company’s existing Escape Lounges proposition.

The door to top-class hospitality: The Executive by Escape Lounges at Manchester Airport Terminal 2 welcomes passengers into its new premium space featuring contemporary interiors and runway views

Located in the heart of T2, the 300-seat lounge features floor-to-ceiling runway views, complimentary high-speed wifi, and charging points throughout.

CAVU noted The Executive has been designed to reflect Manchester through locally inspired interiors, artwork and collaborations with regional producers.

Guests can choose between stylish dining spaces while chefs prepare freshly cooked dishes at live cooking stations

Food & beverage is presented across different formats.

A buffet service is available from launch and features three dedicated food zones. These feature The Loom, which offers live cooking alongside hot buffet dishes, including a daily carvery, curries and cooked-to-order breakfast items.

Meanwhile, The Humm focuses on lighter options, including salads, fruit, yoghurts, smoothies and barista-made coffee; and finally The Leaf & Loaf offers bakery and deli selections, including artisan cheeses, charcuterie and freshly baked breads.

The buffet features a wide selection of hot and cold dishes, from cooked favourites to lighter options and regional specialities

Regional specialities are available from The Leaf & Loaf, including Bury black pudding, Kirkham’s Lancashire cheese and Eccles cakes.

A second dining concept, The Boll, will introduce a seated restaurant-style experience with table service and dedicated menus. The offer will be available to pre-book from late summer for travel from autumn 2026.

CAVU EMEA Experiences Director Matt Etchells said: “The Executive by Escape Lounges is a standout step forward for Terminal 2. We’ve designed it to feel genuinely special from the moment guests arrive, with a more spacious, premium setting and two clear dining choices, buffet and seated dining, to make the start of every journey feel more elevated.”

Alongside the buffet, passengers can enjoy restaurant-quality meals in a refined setting, with seated dining concept The Boll set to elevate the experience later this year

Manchester Airport Managing Director Chris Woodroofe commented, “Here at Manchester Airport we’re proud to connect the North to the world and our £1.3 billion (US$1.7 billion) investment in our brand-new Terminal 2 means we can give passengers an experience that rivals the offering in any major airport across Europe.

“At the heart of that is offering people a huge range of choices so they can really start their holidays at the airport, and The Executive by Escape Lounges will be a really exciting part of that.”

The lounge operates daily from 3am to 8.45pm, with access available from two-and-a-half hours before scheduled departure. Passengers can pre-book access via the Escape Lounges website.

A playful finishing touch awaits before departure: A vintage-style gumball machine offers guests one last complimentary treat as they leave the lounge
