TAIWAN. Miao Shu-na, Supervisor of Oriental Club Lounge at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, has been named one of three worldwide recipients of the All Star of the Year award at the 2026 Priority Pass Excellence Awards.
The award recognises frontline service across Priority Pass’s network of approximately 1,900 partner lounges.

It marks the lounge’s third consecutive year of recognition, following Highly Commended distinctions in the Asia Pacific lounge category in 2024 and 2025.
Shu-na, who has around six years’ lounge experience, was recognised after responding to an incident involving an infant scalded by hot soup.
When a guest asked, “Do you have any ice?”, she identified a potential problem and intervened.

She later followed up to confirm that the mother and baby had returned home safely.
The response also earned her Taoyuan International Airport’s Service Excellence Models Award this year.
Fellow lounge employee Lin Tsung-ching received the same award in 2024.

The recognition comes as Oriental Club Lounge forecasts 500,000 guests in 2026, up from more than 300,000 in 2024 and over 400,000 in 2025.
To support rising demand, the operator said it is strengthening staff training and refining service procedures using guest feedback and service reviews.
The lounge is also expanding its Taiwanese dining offering through its ‘Taiwan Night Market Festival’, featuring Taiwanese fried chicken and Taiwanese sausage wrapped in glutinous rice.
These join existing made-to-order dishes, including beef noodles, sesame oil vermicelli, braised pork rice and Taiwanese rice noodle soup with pork meatballs. ✈

Note: With the deadline fast approaching, entries for the eagerly anticipated Travel Retail Superstars Awards remain open until 16 November.
Celebrating outstanding employees across the airport, airline, downtown and cruise sectors, the awards will shine a spotlight on the frontline and behind-the-scenes heroes and heroines whose dedication, expertise and passion have helped drive the industry forward over the past year.
