ACI Asia-Pacific event in Guam to explore potential of emerging airports

ASIA PACIFIC. Rediscovering the potential of emerging airports will be the key theme of the 9th ACI Asia-Pacific Small and Emerging Airports Seminar, which will be held in Guam.

Taking place on 8-11 October at The Westin Resort, the event will be hosted by A.B. Won Pat International Airport Authority, Guam, in partnership with Pohnpei Port Authority.

Early bird registration is available for the event, where sessions will focus on destination marketing, optimising business models, the potential of non-aeronautical revenues and staff training and human resources.

Underlining the close relationship between The Moodie Report and ACI and ACI Asia-Pacific, The Moodie Report Chairman Martin Moodie will moderate two sessions on tourism’s importance to local economies and airport commercial revenues, respectively.

ACI World Economics & Programme Development Director Dr. Rafael Echevarne will present a special report on emerging economies and airport development.

A workshop – Harnessing the Power of Social and Digital Media – will also be facilitated by Mighty Media Group CEO Stephenie Rodriguez, with the Guam Visitors Bureau sharing best practice.

Among the speakers at this year’s event will be LS travel retail General Manager Duty Free Ivo Favotto, Queensland Airports COO (Townsville Airport) Kevin Gill and GMR Group Airports Sector CEO Corporate P S Nair.
