FRANCE. Aelia Group today announced the appointment of Philippe Hautrive as Executive Vice-President, International Business Development, effective 1 March.
He joins Aelia from the travel retailer’s parent company Lagardère Services, where he has worked as Executive Vice President Business Operations since June 2003. Hautrive joined Lagardère Services in January 2000 as Executive Vice President Press Distribution, International Development.
Aelia commented: “He has overseen the sharing and development of best practice within Lagardère Services for retail and distribution divisions, and has conducted several international development projects. Thanks to his role at Lagardère Services, Philippe has developed an in-depth knowledge of the travel retail industry and its markets, and will make a strong contribution to Aelia’s international ambitions.”
Hautrive also launched the HDS Digital initiative (kiosks for digital press) and has supervised its strategic development.
In his new role he will report to Chairman and CEO Jean-Baptiste Morin, who said: “We are delighted to welcome Philippe to Aelia Group, where he will have a vital role to play as we seek to fulfil our plans for international development.
“His experience at Lagardère Services will complement and build on our in-house expertise, while he brings an extremely valuable understanding of the markets that we are targeting for expansion. International development is a strategic objective for Aelia and I am confident that the appointment of Philippe will help us achieve our goals.”
