Airline Retail Conference set to expand to Latin America in 2015

UK. The Airline Retail Conference (ARC) has announced the launch of the inaugural ARC Latin America, set to take place in Mexico City on 27-29 January 2015.

The new addition to the conference portfolio, which includes ARC Europe and ARC Asia-Pacific, will bring together over 150 industry experts representing airlines, suppliers, brands and concessionaires to tackle the latest issues in the airline retail industry as well as provide networking opportunities.

Like its Europe and Asia-Pacific counterparts, the Latin American edition will host a two-day conference and exhibition, focusing on the latest inflight retail and onboard food & beverage trends in the region.

Trade Media & Events Managing Director Colin Hall commented: “We are all very excited to launch the new ARC Latin America. Recently we have seen a lot of movement of larger international carriers expanding their routes to Latin America. Latin American and Caribbean air travel was up +7.6% with airlines carrying 240.5 million passengers in 2013. Additionally, a variety of brands and inflight concessionaires have opened offices in the region to better cater to their expanding clientele.”

Hall continued: “This is the right time for us to open up the debate across all sectors of inflight retail industry in Latin America and provide the ARC clientele with the opportunity to expand their business into the booming continent.”

ARC has also launched a new website www.airlineretail.com to bring together its three conferences in one place.
